Hello! Would you like to know about me before viewing my paintings? I use mixed media in fresh, unexpected ways, pushing materials and inviting new ideas about creativity. I give live demos to local art groups and online via Zoom. Initially a wildlife artist from Zimbabwe, moving to the UK in 2001, and not finding much wildlife to paint, I have been painting the London changing skyline from conception of the Gherkin, now hidden behind newer iconic buildings. But the bright red London buses, black taxis, and bicycles are still incorporated into my painting interpretation of London.
I am the president of a local art society. As a demonstrator and art teacher, I give demonstrations to art societies and clubs in the UK. I have also been invited by art societies and clubs abroad to conduct workshops. The topics for demonstrating my work range from jazz band scenes, drawn on banana leaves with boot polish and oil pastels, to wildlife, animals, and birds painted using watercolour mixed media. All paintings on this site are for sale and can be bought through the website.
I welcome commissions for personalised pieces.
N.B PLEASE NOTE I ONLY SELL THROUGH THE WEB PAGE. THIS SHOULD STOP SCAMMERS FROM TRYING TO CONTACT ME THROUGH MY EMAIL ADDRESS
Read about the inspiration behind the use of this media. I love demonstrating this technique. How many artists do you know who draw with shoe polish on handmade banana leaf paper?

What inspires an artist? Is there a meaning behind the paintings I create? Well, it is wonderful that someone else may see something in the painting that was not anticipated when it was painted!
