So how would I describe myself? Passionate, creative and some would say a good sense of humour. African born, and a love of Wildlife I never thought I would see myself painting London scenes. From the very first moment I saw London, I was in love, the red buses, black taxies, bicycles and those amazing icon building. I particularly loved the sky full of colourful cranes. You will see these in my paintings of London. I watched the Gerkin being built and then all the other icon building pop up around the Gerkin. I have a studio full of sketches, photographs and painting stretching over the last 24 years.
Being brought up in a country heavily sanctioned with lack of many art materials I had to get creative. Using unusual mediums, shoe polish and rag paper made from old industrial overall, is just one of many mediums I used. I brought the rag paper with me when I immigrated to the UK. The paper lends itself to drawing with oil pastels. Have a look at my jazz bands drawn on the rag paper using oil pastels, and shoe polish. I know you will love these comical drawings
Recently retired I now have more time to paint. if you are interested in commissioning a painting, do contact me through my websites.
