Bouquet

I painted a watercolour painting, my interpretation of a beautiful Bouquet of flowers presented to me by Mature art students I taught over a 14-week course. I have posted it on my webpage, do have a look. www.jennysart.space

The bouquet was compiled by one of the students, a florist who owns Victoriajaneflowers.co.uk. I painted the bouquet really because one of the students suggested that I did. With a smile I picked up my paint brush. Flowers not really my thing, I paint London Scenes.  So why paint flowers you may ask? Well for 2 reasons I wanted to promote her small business. The bouquet was gorgeous a variety mix of flowers foliage and grasses and like so many of us the Pandemic lock down really affected small businesses like this one.

Secondly, the 14-week course I was privileged to be asked to teach. I have taught before, school aged students and I do quite a few demonstrations around the country. Teaching mature students from the beginning; drawing with pencils, crayons then onto watercolours was easy but then acrylics. Now that certainly was new to me as well as the students. We had such fun and I really did surprise myself and I think the students. Together we produced some fantastic pieces. I posted a video on my Facebook page showing off my students work. You should have a look. I am very proud of what they achieved.
